We suggest taking the Airport Road way out of the city for a more pleasant drive. Supercoffee on Airport Road, Susan’s in Markdale and Highland Grounds in Flesherton make for a great stop along the way. Winter tires are suggested to make your drive much easier in the winter and don’t forget to pack an emergency kit in your car, including extra gas (not that you’ll ever need it).
Make sure you fill up on gas for your return trip before you pass Shelburne, especially in the evening, as most gas stations close around 10pm. Gas in the area can be cheaper than in Toronto so plan wisely!
Arrive anytime during the day, but we suggest planning your drive for daylight. Take care driving on roads in the dark and watch out for deer and other wildlife in wooded and open areas.
When you go up Concession 6, look for a bright red mailbox and gates on the right, just past the conservation area.
When you reach the gate, make your way up the driveway on the left. If for any reason the road is inaccessible or you have trouble getting in, stop right there and give us a shout so we can help out.
The closest town of Chesley is a 10-minute drive away, has a small grocery store, LCBO, cannabis store and a few hardware stores. Both feature great coffee and local products. Most retail outlets tend to close early in the evening, so we suggest planning ahead.
